Carver Group - Our Story

Established in 1991 by Nick Carver, Gordon soon joined to form Nick & Gordon Carver Residential. After a successful career, Nick retired in 2017 and left the business fully in April 2021 with Henry joining James on the board with new branding being revealed in 2023 as Carver Residential.

From a single room, the business grew and now has offices in Duke Street, Darlington; Richmond; Northallerton; Newton Aycliffe. Covering a wide area our experienced team have excellent local knowledge and are passionate about property and providing a high standard of customer service.

Some members of staff have been with the business throughout, including Northallerton branch manager, David Buckle, and Aycliffe branch manager, David Tinkler.

James and Henry grew up with the family business, gaining invaluable experience from a young age.

Carver Commercial set up in 2003 and is an independent firm of chartered surveyors and commercial property consultants with an experienced team based at St Cuthberts Way in Darlington covering County Durham and North Yorkshire.

We have an experienced team of surveyors in our Building Surveying department offering building surveys and professional RICS valuations. The lettings and property management department set up in 2021 and from its initial launch the department has grown substantially. Based in the Darlington office, we cover County Durham, Tees Valley & North Yorkshire with the support of all our residential branches.
